Across Poland, activity led venues are experiencing a remarkable rise as guests increasingly seek nights out built around memorable social experiences. Shuffleboard through SHUFL and the new wave of camera powered digital darts through FLYBY Darts are becoming central to how people spend time together. According to Espen Hjulstad, Expansion Manager at The Social Gaming Group, Poland is now one of the most exciting markets in Europe.
Espen says:
“Few countries are seeing faster growth right now than Poland. Operators are embracing activity driven concepts at a pace we have not seen anywhere else in Europe, and Polish guests have responded immediately. It has become one of the fastest growing social gaming markets on the continent.”
TSGG partners in Poland have helped accelerate this movement. Zagrywki in Warsaw and Wrocław have brought shuffleboard to large new audiences, with multiple SHUFL tables acting as natural gathering points for groups looking for something more engaging than a traditional night out. Activity revenue has quickly become a major part of their business.
The team at MK Bowling has also driven the trend forward by adding Grand Champion SHUFL tables to several locations. Their Poznań venue is a standout example. It launched with four tables, saw immediate demand, and quickly expanded to ten. Today shuffleboard sits alongside bowling as one of their most played and most watched games.
For Konrad Nowak, one of TSGG’s technicians and originally from Poland, the change is clear from every installation.
Konrad explains:
“These installations are not just popular. They are driving repeat visits and becoming the reason people choose a venue. Across big cities and small ones, new pubs and entertainment spaces are opening like mushrooms after rain, and people are choosing places where they can play. Shuffleboard in particular has become a favourite.”
Espen and Konrad point to the same factors behind this rapid rise:
• economic confidence among younger urban audiences
• changing social habits where people want an activity at the centre of a night out
• operators willing to invest in high quality games and premium guest experiences
• a clear appetite for new concepts in cities such as Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk and Kraków
Shuffleboard has been at the heart of this shift. It is quick to learn, endlessly competitive, and ideal for groups. FLYBY Darts is also now being explored by operators looking to introduce a modern and intuitive digital darts experience in a market where advanced darts technology is still new. Together these games are helping Polish venues diversify, differentiate, and create experiences that keep people coming back.
Both experts believe Poland is entering a defining period for competitive socialising. More operators are enquiring, existing partners are expanding, and new concepts built around active social play are already being planned.
Espen sees significant potential ahead.
“Poland is expanding fast, and we are ready to support that growth. Our aim is to be the trusted partner for operators who want to stand out with innovative and high quality social gaming experiences.”
What began as a handful of shuffleboard installations has grown into a national shift in how people choose to socialise. Poland has become a market to watch and a place where activity led entertainment is shaping the future of going out.
