Whatever your current status – single, dating, in it for the long-haul or even heartbroken – show your loved ones or besties some shuffleboard love with an alternative date night this Valentine’s.

Here’s why we think shuffleboard was made for Valentine’s Day:

If you’re single, it’s a great way to meet people and make new connections. We all know it’s hard to approach someone on a night out, but it all suddenly seems so much easier to ask to join them in a game of shuffleboard. With up to eight people able to play at one time, there’s plenty of room for the guy/girl who’s caught your eye to join in.

If it’s a case of first date nerves, then “puckering up” on a shuffleboard can really help keep the conversation going and there’s no pressure to find things to talk about. It’s also going to score you brownie points as a great alternative date night that shows you’ve put the extra effort into finding something cool and different!

For those who’ve been together for a while, introducing some competitive rivalry and playful fun into your date night could be just what you need to re-ignite the spark and remind you why you’ve been together for as long as you have.

If you’re heart’s just not in it this year, then we guarantee that mastering the SHUFL curve is a great way to celebrate ‘Palentine’s’ instead and put the smile back on your face with your group of besties.
For more info on our favourite places show them some shuffleboard love, check out our city guides in Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester.
