Common questions about The Social Gaming Group

Where is The Social Gaming Group based?

The Social Gaming Group’s headquarters is located at Rådhusgata 30B, Oslo, Norway. We also have staff working in various locations across the UK.

How long has TSGG been operating?

The Social Gaming Group has been building social gaming experiences since 2008, when its founders brought shuffleboard back to Europe from the United States.

The group operates across 21 countries and four continents.

Which markets does TSGG currently operate in?

TSGG partners run venues across 21 countries (2026), concentrated across Europe with sites in North America, Canada and Asia. We have a distribution partner in Australia, bringing SHUFL. and FLYBY down under.

The venue finder map shows live locations, and it is updated as new sites open.

Who are TSGG's existing partners?

Our partners range from independent venue owners to international hospitality groups – Elangeni Hospitality Group, G&A Bars, Swiss Shufl, REKOM and FN Solutions are among them.

Find parter stories in our News & Insights section.

Can I see a TSGG concept in person before committing?

Yes – and we recommend it. The venue finder map lists every live site, and most are open to the public.

For a guided visit, tell us which city works for you and we will arrange a walkthrough at the venue.

How do I start a conversation with TSGG?

Use the Get a Quote form. It takes a couple of minutes and routes your enquiry to the right team.

We respond within one business day, usually with questions about your location, space and ambitions before anything else.

Common questions about Competitive Socialising

What is Competitive Socialising?

Competitive socialising brings people together through classic and interactive games, food, and drinks and events. It combines the atmosphere of a bar or restaurant with fun, engaging activities that encourage people to connect, play, and share experiences. It also encourages longer visits, higher spending, and repeat business.

Can I add Social Games to an existing bar or restaurant?

Yes. Most of our installations go into venues that are already trading, using space that is currently underused.

We survey the room first, then recommend the format and footprint that fits it – from a single table to a full games floor.

How much does it cost to add FLYBY Darts or SHUFL to my venue?

Enquire today for a bespoke quote based on your requirements and conversation with our team. Get a quote.

How long does installation take?

A standard installation takes one to two days on site once the space is ready.

Larger builds and full venue fit-outs run to a project plan agreed with you in advance, so you know when you can trade again.

What's the difference between OCHE Franchise and Experience Zone?

An OCHE Franchise is a full venue built around the concept, with its own brand, layout and operating model.

An Experience Zone (XPZ) drops the same concept into part of an existing venue, so a hotel, bar or restaurant can add it without building from scratch.

What does TSGG provide versus what do I provide?

We provide the games, the software, the installation and ongoing support, plus training for your team.

You provide the space, the power and data connections, and the day-to-day hospitality operation around the games.

Which markets does TSGG currently operate in?

TSGG partners run venues across 21 countries (2026), concentrated across Europe with sites in North America, Canada and Asia. We have a distribution partner in Australia, bringing SHUFL. and FLYBY down under.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Most enquiries are answered within one to two business days, depending on the request.

Is there a minimum order or commitment?

There are no minimum order requirements. Commitments are agreed upon for each individual agreement.

Common questions about our Social Games

What size space do I need – do I need a large area?

Not necessarily! Most venues can accommodate social games within their existing space.

  • A 9 ft SHUFL. Gentry requires approximately 4 × 1 metres floor space
  • A 18 ft SHUFL Tech requires 7 x 1.5 metres floor space.
  • FLYBY Darts needs around 2 × 3.5 metres per unit.

We also recommend allowing additional space between games for players, spectators and seating.

We’ll help you assess your venue and recommend the best layout and number of games to make the most of your available space.

Can I add more than one Social Game to my venue?

Absolutely! You can install as many analogue and interactive Social Games as your space allows. We recommend leaving room for guests to gather, move around and enjoy food and drinks.

Installing multiple units can also reduce the investment cost per unit, making it a more cost-effective solution while increasing your venue’s revenue potential.

Do you supply the dartboards and shuffleboards or just the tech?

Our social gaming concepts include the shuffleboards, dartboards, and all necessary equipment, in addition to the technology components. Our shop also offers consumables – such as sand, pucks, and darts – as well as merchandise.

How many games will I be able to offer on my Social Games setup?

Our interactive concepts ship with a library of games – currently 3 SHUFL Tech and 8 FLYBY Darts – from quick two-player rounds to team formats built for a full group. The games are designed to cover all skill levels.

New games arrive with software updates, so the offer grows without anything changing on your floor.

How do I organise private and corporate events?

Events run on the same games your walk-in guests play, with tournament and league formats built in and scoring handled by the system.

We provide the event formats, run-sheets and staff training; you take the booking and run the hospitality around it. Ask us for the event and tournament guide.

How do I update the tech — do I need an engineer on site?

No. Software updates are delivered remotely and install themselves outside trading hours, so new games and fixes arrive without a visit.

An engineer only comes out for hardware — an installation, a service visit or a part that needs replacing.

What new games are in the planning?

There is always something in development, and new games for SHUFL Tech and FLYBY Darts land through the year.

Concepts still in the workshop are shared with partners first — get in touch and we will tell you what is coming to your market.

Common questions about analogue shuffleboards - SHUFL.

Do you need to be a pro to play analogue shuffleboard?

No. A first-time player can slide a puck within seconds of walking up to the table, which is exactly why it works in a bar.

The curve is what keeps it interesting: the surface rewards touch rather than strength, so a mixed group stays evenly matched and nobody sits out.

How do you keep track of scoring on an analogue shuffleboard?

By eye, the way the game has always been scored. Only one team scores per end, counting the pucks that finish past the other team's furthest puck, and the first team to fifteen points wins.

You can add a scoring unit – but every table comes with the rules to hand. Venues that want advanced camera tracking and scoring choose SHUFL Tech instead.

Why is a curved playing field on a shuffleboard more fun to play?

The concave surface makes every shot a decision. A puck runs with the curve, so the line you choose matters as much as how hard you slide it.

That gives a beginner an immediate reason to try again and an experienced player something to work on – which is what keeps a group at the table.

Where can I try out an analogue shuffleboard?

SHUFL. tables are installed in bars, hotels, restaurants and leisure venues across Europe. The venue finder shows where the nearest one is.

If you are considering a table for your own venue, ask us and we will arrange a visit to a site near you.

What is the typical ROI on a SHUFL. table?

Return on investment depends on your pricing, your opening hours, how the table is used, monthly revenue and the pricing model, so it is worked out per venue rather than quoted as a rule.

Send us your trading pattern and we will build the numbers with you before you commit to anything.

Common questions about interactive shuffleboards - SHUFL Tech

What is interactive shuffleboard and how does it work?

Interactive shuffleboard is the classic table game with game progress, modes and scoring on a led screen. Cameras above the table follow every puck, and a screen keeps score, calls the round and runs the game mode you picked.

Nothing about the table itself changes – you still slide a puck down a timber deck. The technology only removes the part nobody enjoys, which is arguing about who scored what.

How do you play interactive shuffleboard, and how do you win?

Players take turns sliding pucks toward the scoring zones at the far end of the table, trying to land theirs and knock their opponents out of position.

How you win depends on the game you select. Some are a straight race to a target score, others reward holding a zone or clearing the table, and the screen explains the rules before each round starts.

Where can I play interactive shuffleboard?

SHUFL Tech tables are installed in bars, competitive socialising venues, hotels and workplaces across Europe.

Use the venue finder to see the sites nearest you, and check the venue's own booking page – tables are often reserved in advance at peak times.

How do I start a Competitive Socialising business with SHUFL Tech?

Start by telling us about the space, the trading hours you want to fill and the audience you serve. We will come back with the format and table count that fits.

From there we handle survey, installation, staff training and ongoing support, so your team can concentrate on the hospitality side.

Is shuffleboard good for group events and parties?

SHUFL Tech is one of the easiest social games to put a mixed group around: there is nothing to learn, everyone can play, and the turns are short enough that nobody stands waiting.

Linked play across several tables lets larger groups compete on one leaderboard, which works well for team days, private hires and corporate events.

What revenue can I expect from Social Games?

In 2026, SHUFL Tech and FLYBY Darts generated an average monthly revenue of €2,950 per unit. Actual revenue varies depending on location, opening hours and pricing.

We’ll help you estimate your revenue potential based on comparable venues in your market, and provide guidance on driving bookings during quieter periods and maximising revenue during peak hours.

Common questions about interactive darts – FLYBY Darts

What is interactive darts and how does it work?

Interactive darts is a regulation dartboard with machine-learning dart recognition behind it. Cameras read where each dart lands, the screen scores it instantly, and the game runs itself.

You throw the same darts at the same board — the technology handles the scoring, the rules and the replays.

How do you play interactive darts, and how do you win?

Pick a game on the pad, add your players and throw. Scores, turns and checkouts are tracked for you, so no one needs to know the maths.

Winning depends on the game you select: some are a countdown to zero, others are about surviving longest or hitting assigned targets before your opponents do.

Where can I play interactive darts?

FLYBY Darts booths are installed in bars, competitive socialising venues and hotels across Europe.

Use the venue finder to see the sites nearest you; most venues take bookings for a booth in advance.

How do I start a Competitive Socialising business with FLYBY Darts?

Tell us about your space and your audience and we will recommend a kit – the essential modular core, a turnkey cabinet, or a bespoke rig built to your interior.

We cover installation, staff training and ongoing support, and we will help you plan the FLYBY Darts unit count against the trade you expect.

Is darts good for group events and parties?

Darts suits groups because the turns are short and the scoring is automatic, so a mixed-ability group stays in the game together.

Multi-machine linked play puts larger groups on one leaderboard, which is what makes it work for team days and tournaments, even private and corporate quizzes.

What revenue can I expect from Social Games?

In 2025, SHUFL Tech and FLYBY Darts generated an average monthly revenue of €2,950 per unit. Actual revenue varies depending on location, opening hours and pricing.

Common questions about our OCHE concepts

What is the difference - OCHE Franchise and an Experience Zone?

An OCHE Franchise is a full venue built around the concept – typically 300 to 2000 sqm, with its own bar, kitchen and games floor. Some OCHE Venues also offer an integrated restaurant so guests can eat before or after a game session.

An Experience Zone puts the same concept into part of a venue that is already trading, so a hotel, bowling alley or bar can add it without building from scratch.

What investment level is required?

It depends on the route and the site. An Experience Zone is the lower-investment option because the building is already there.

A franchise venue is costed against its size, condition and market. Send us the site and we will come back with a range rather than a guess.

Do I need prior hospitality experience?

It helps, and most of our franchisees come from hospitality or leisure – but it is not a hard requirement.

What matters more is the site, the funding and a team who will run the venue day to day. TSGG provides the operating model, the training, launch and ongoing support.

What support does TSGG provide after opening?

Operational support, software updates and brand assets continue for the life of the partnership, delivered through our playbook ”The Hangar”.

Technical issues are handled through our support portal, and your team keeps access to the training materials as staff change.

Which markets are available for new partnerships?

OCHE is live in ten cities across four continents, and we open new territories with the right partner.

Tell us the city you have in mind and we will confirm whether it is available before you spend anything on a site.

How long from enquiry to opening?

An Experience Zone can be trading within a few months of the site assessment, because the venue already exists.

A full franchise venue runs to a project plan covering feasibility, site selection, design and fit-out, and is measured in quarters rather than weeks.

Can I visit an OCHE venue before committing?

Yes, you can visit Oche in Oslo Norway, Gothenburg Sweden, Copenhagen Denmark, Reykjavik Iceland, London UK, Amsterdam Netherlands, Toronto Canada, Singapore, Brisbane and Melbourne Australia. Find your nearest OCHE venue on the OCHE Global website.
